THE World Health Organisation donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to Namibia.

WHO country representative Charles Sagoe Moses presented the PPE to health minister Kalumbi Shangula at the Covid-19 communication centre on Monday afternoon.
“We have enough PPE in terms of gloves, face masks, and they can take care of over 1 000 health workers. We want them to be assured that their needs are protected. If they are not safe, then we are not safe,” Moses said.
The WHO country representative stressed that health workers need to feel confident and protected by wearing the PPE.
“We want to assure the nation that health workers and front line workers will have the necessary equipment to do their work,” he said
