NAMIBIA has recorded 18 new Covid-19 cases and 103 recoveries. This was announced on Tuesday afternoon by health deputy minister Ester Muinjangue.
Of these new cases, 14 are males and four are female, with the youngest being 21 years and the oldest 69.
Oshakati recorded seven new cases, Windhoek four, Engela two, Okahao, Outapi, Karasburg, Lüderitz and Opuwo one each.
The Oshakati cases include four inmates from Oluno Correctional Facility.
Oshana recorded 76 recoveries, Khomas 20, //Kharas three, Omusati two, Kunene and Omaheke one each.
The total number of active cases now stands at 1 593. Of the active cases, three are in severe to critical condition and are all in Khomas region.
Namibia now has 13 030 confirmed cases, 11 304 recoveries and 133 deaths.
