NAMIBIA has recorded 125 new Covid-19 cases with 20 recoveries and two deaths.
This was announced by health minister Kalumbi Shangula on Monday afternoon.
Of the confirmed cases, 66 are males and 59 females, the youngest being 10 months old and the oldest 90 years old.
Windhoek recorded 81 cases, with Walvis Bay, Rehoboth and Keetmanshoop having seven cases each.
Four cases each were recorded from Omaruru, Mariental, Okahandja and Otjiwarongo while Gobabis had three, Swakopmund two, and one each from Usakos and Rundu. Shangula said the new recoveries are from Hardap 8, Khomas 7 and //Kharas 5.
This brings the total recoveries to 3 806. The total number of active cases now stands at 4 913 with 21 of them in severe to critical condition.
The minister said the two new Covid-19 related deaths are both male from Swakopmund and Windhoek.
In total, Namibia now has recorded a cumulative 8 810 confirmed cases and 91 deaths.
