Sanlam Namibia’s client service department in Windhoek has been temporarily closed after two staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.
The department will be closed for two days – from Monday 17 August and Tuesday 18 August 2020 for comprehensive disinfection.
This is a precautionary measure to reduce further exposure to staff and clients.
“The public is hereby informed that the organisation is still operational, only the walk-in client service office will be closed. No major disruptions are envisaged,” said Sanlam Group spokesperson Hilaria Graig in a statement released on Sunday.
She added that to support the high volume of clients at the Windhoek office, the Katutura branch will temporarily close from Wednesday 19, to Friday 21 August 2020.
This is so that the staff at the Katutura branch can move over to the client service department to provide the much-needed backup support. “The rest of the Sanlam offices and branches throughout the country remain open and ready to serve clients,” she added.
Graig noted that Sanlam remains dedicated to providing the best service to its valued clients and calls for calm as all necessary health measures and protocols are in place to adhere to the health regulations set out by the government with regards to Covid-19.
