THE annual Ongwediva trade fair, which was scheduled for 21 to 29 August, has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
was announced today by Jackson Muma, Ongwediva Town Council
spokesperson, who said the health and safety of visitors, employees,
exhibitors and stakeholders had to be considered.
“It is in the best interest of the public to ensure all active economic sectors and participants in the Ongwediva trade fair join hands in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus,” he said.
Muma said plans for 2021’s fair are underway as the event will be celebrating its 21st anniversary.
He thanked exhibitors, visitors and stakeholders for their continuous support.
