Health update: Namibia has reported 13 new coronavirus infections and 81 recoveries from the virus, health and social services minister Kalumbi Shangula said on Tuesday.

Lüderitz had the highest number of newly confirmed cases with six, followed by Windhoek with three and Karasburg with two. One newly confirmed infection was also recorded at Rehoboth and one at Walvis Bay as well.

Fifty-one of the recoveries are from the Hardap region, 22 from Khomas, four from Oshana and two each from //Kharas and Omusati.

Namibia has so far recorded 13 253 confirmed coronavirus infections, 134 deaths linked to Covid-19 and 11 701 recoveries from the virus.
