THE Meat Board of Namibia will be closing its Windhoek head office from Monday to 26 August as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
In a statement released on Monday, the company said during this period the Meat Board ear tag, NamLITS helpdesk, producer registration and stock brands offices will be closed.
The classification services will however be unaffected and continue working as long as the export abattoirs are operational. The border personnel will continue operating and rendering border inspection services.
The finance division will prepare and do payments only on Fridays and the trade division will continue issuing import and export permits. The IT division will ensure 24-hour internet connectivity during the period.
