POLITICAL parties in Erongo region described the 2019 presidential and National Assembly election campaign as having been peaceful.
First-time election participants Landless People’s Movement (LPM) said they are overwhelmed by the reception from communities in which they campaigned.
“We did not encounter anything bad or being attacked, harassed or anything. So far, non of our posters were removed from vehicles,” said Aina Kodi, LPM national treasurer.
Despite the unpredictable coastal weather, Kodi encouraged voters to maintain the same peace at the polls on Wednesday.
