The offices of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security in the Erongo region reopened on Monday, after it had been disinfected against the novel coronavirus.
The offices were temporarily shut following possible Covid-19 exposure when staff members came into contact with suspected Covid-19 cases at Walvis Bay.
The ministry’s spokesperson Sakeus Kadhikwa said the Kuisebmond sub-regional office, the Walvis Bay harbour and airport offices and the Swakopmund offices reopened on Monday.
“The offices have been disinfected. In order to protect the well-being of staff and the public, the ministry will continue adhering to Covid-19 regulations, which require temperature screening, wearing of masks, keeping of social distancing and washing of hands, amongst others,” he said. – [email protected]
