THE Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (Cran) has closed its offices in Windhoek until 11 August after a staff member tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
In a statement issued Tuesday, head of communications Katrina Sikeni said all employees who were direct contacts to the employee are currently in self-isolation and as a precautionary measure, the affected offices were temporarily closed for sanitation on Monday, 3 August.
“The entire Cran offices will be closed for physical contact business and all team members will work from home with immediate effect commencing Tuesday, 4 August,” she said.
Sikeni advised all stakeholders to adhere to the state of emergency regulations to prevent the further spread of the virus.
The public is also encouraged to make use of the authority’s various payment methods such as electronic fund transfers, direct bank deposits, and submit applications and consumer complaints via their online platforms.
