Namibia has recorded two deaths linked to Covid-19, 149 new coronavirus infections and 163 recoveries from the virus, health and social services minister Kalumbi Shangula said on Tuesday.

The latest two deaths linked to Covid-19 are of men aged 41 and 75, who died in Windhoek and Rehoboth, respectively. Neither of them had other health problems associated with an increased mortality rate following a novel coronavirus infection.

Shangula also said 151 people are hospitalised with Covid-19 currently, with 20 of the patients in intensive care units.
