Minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula says Namibia has recorded a second Covid-19 death and three new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
According to the minister, all three new cases are Namibians from Walvis Bay. Two are male and one female. The youngest is 21 years old and the oldest 44.
The case which passed away was a 44-year-old male and had diabetes. He died on 11 July at home.
He was tested for Covid-19 and the result came back positive yesterday.
Shangula said Namibia now has 864 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with 29 recoveries and 833 active cases.
