NAMIBIA has recorded 41 new coronavirus infections, 102 recoveries and one death, health minister Kalumbi Shangula said on Tuesday evening.
Of these new cases, 32 are males and nine are females, the youngest being 13 years old and the oldest 75 years.
Oshakati recorded 27 new cases, Windhoek 13 and Karasburg one.
The Oshakati cases include 25 pupils from Oshakati Senior Secondary School and the Windhoek cases includes one tourist from South Africa who came in the country with a PCR negative results.
The recoveries are 56 from Oshana, Khomas 33, Erongo nine, Ohangwena three and one from Omaheke.
The total number of active cases now stands at 1 707. Of the active cases, three are in severe to critical condition.
The country recorded one death of a 49-year-old male from Windhoek who is known to have had multiple comorbidities.
Namibia now has 12 367 confirmed cases, 10 528 recoveries and 132 deaths.
