Namibia has recorded 102 new coronavirus infections, six deaths linked to Covid-19 and 178 recoveries from the novel coronavirus over the past day, minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula announced on Wednesday.

There are currently 129 people hospitalised in Namibia due to the virus, with 35 of them in intensive care units in hospital.

Furthermore, 160 doses of vaccine against Covid-19 were administered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of vaccine doses administered in Namibia to 3 282.
