Namibia has recorded 281 new coronavirus infections, another three deaths linked to Covid-19 and 116 recoveries from the novel coronavirus, health and social services minister Kalumbi Shangula said on Friday.

Shangula also said 162 people are hospitalised with Covid-19 currently, with 24 of the patients in intensive care units.

The 281 people with newly confirmed novel coronavirus infections include 65 school pupils, 14 healthcare workers, 15 teachers from different schools, six employees in the mining industry and three students.
