Namibia has recorded 188 new coronavirus infections and 55 recoveries from an infection with the virus since Saturday, health and social services minister Kalumbi Shangula said on Sunday.

Shangula also said 128 people are hospitalised with Covid-19 currently, with nine of the patients in intensive care units.

The 188 people with newly confirmed novel coronavirus infections include 91 school pupils, eight teachers and three healthcare workers.
