HEALTH minister Kalumbi Shangula says 11 pupils and three teachers from different schools have tested positive for the novel coronavirus a week after classes resumed.

In total, the country recorded 102 new coronavirus infections, four deaths linked to Covid-19 and 38 recoveries from the virus between Tuesday and Wednesday.

“We are reporting cases from 11 regions, with Khomas reporting the highest number of cases (62%), followed by Oshana and Zambezi regions,” Shangula announced on Wednesday evening.

The number of people hospitalised due to Covid-19 decreased from 146 on Tuesday to 144 a day later, with 13 people in intensive care units.
