NAMIBIA has recorded 536 new covid-19 infections, 380 recoveries and two new deaths, health and social services minister Kalumbi Shangula announced on Sunday.

He said 303 people are in hospital, with 33 of them in intensive care.

Today’s cases are from 13 (93%) of the 14 regions in the country.

“This is very worrisome as the cases are widespread and sporadically distributed in different districts across the country.

“The Erongo region is emerging as a new hotspot representing 21% of all confirmed cases closely followed by Khomas region (19,4%),” Shangula said.
