Namibia’s number of confirmed novel coronavirus infections rose by 52 on Thursday, with another 43 recoveries from the virus also reported, according to health and social services minister Kalumbi Shangula.
Windhoek recorded the highest number of new infections at 15, followed by Oshakati and Rehoboth with seven each and Outapi with five.
Walvis Bay and Gobabis reported four new infections each, while Swakopmund and Karasburg have three each and Onandjokwe two. Meanwhile, Usakos and Lüderitz each reported one newly confirmed infection.
The recoveries are from Kavango East region with 26, Khomas with 10, four in //Kharas, two in Otjozondjupa and one in Kunene.
The country has recorded a total of 12 858 confirmed novel coronavirus infections, 133 deaths linked to Covid-19 and 10 972 recoveries from the virus.
