NAMIBIA has recorded 15 new coronavirus infections and 34 recoveries from the virus, deputy minister of health and social services Ester Muinjangue announced on Monday.
Seven of the newly confirmed infections were recorded in Windhoek, two each at Swakopmund, Usakos and Rehoboth, and one each at Gobabis and Okahandja.
Khomas recorded the recovery of 24 people who had been infected with the virus, Hardap seven, Ohangwena two and Omusati one.
The total number of active coronavirus infections in Namibia cases now stands at 1 729. Of the active cases, three are in a severe to critical condition.
Namibia has recorded 12 675 confirmed novel coronavirus infections since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, with 10 813 recoveries and 133 deaths.
