Namibia has recorded 39 new Covid-19 cases.

A total of 59 recoveries and one death have also been recorded, deputy minister of health and social services Esther Muinjangue said on Wednesday.

Of the new cases, Windhoek has recorded 14, Oshakati 10, Gobabis five, Walvis Bay three, and Swakopmund and Okahandja two each.

Keetmanshoop, Lüderitz and Onandjokwe recorded one new case each.

Muinjangue said a 62-year-old man from Walvis Bay succumbed to the virus.

Namibia’s confirmed cases now stand at 12 406, with 10 587 recoveries and 133 deaths.
