Namibia has recorded 30 new coronavirus infections and three recoveries from the virus, health minister Kalumbi Shangula announced on Sunday.
Of the new cases, 12 were recorded in Windhoek, five at Oshakati, three each at Walvis Bay and Oshakati, two at Engela, and one each at Tsandi, Rundu, Outjo, Rehoboth and Lüderitz.
Two of the recoveries were recorded in the Omusati region and one in Erongo. This brings the country’s number of recoveries from an infection with the virus to 10 422.
The country now has 1 740 active infections with the virus, of which five are in a severe to critical condition. Three of those are in Erongo and two in Khomas.
Namibia has recorded 12 293 confirmed coronavirus infections and 131 deaths linked to Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.
