NAMIBIA has recorded 125 new coronavirus infections, with the majority coming from Onandjokwe in the Oshikoto region. This was announced by health minister Kalumbi Shangula on Wednesday.
Of the 125 new cases, 58 were recorded at Onandjokwe, 17 from Windhoek, 14 at Rundu, 11 at Eenhana, five at Omaruru and Walvis Bay each, four from Rehoboth, three from Swakopmund and Okahandja each, and one each at Katima Mulilo, Okakarara, Usakos, Gobabis and Karasburg.
The country also recorded 77 new recoveries from the coronavirus, bringing its total number of recoveries to 9 014.
Namibia has recorded a total of 11 265 confirmed novel coronavirus infections, of which 2 129 remain active, and has recorded 121 deaths linked to Covid-19.
