Health minister Kalumbi Shangula this afternoon said Namibia has recorded 74 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours.

Shangula said 56 of the new infections were recorded at Walvis Bay, three at Swakopmund, four in Windhoek and at Rosh Pinah, respectively, two at Oshakati and Rundu, respectively, and one each at Okahandja, Omaruru and Onandjokwe.
Fifty-four of the newly infected people are men, while 20 are women. Their ages range from 15 to 77.
Shangula also announced that another three people previously diagnosed with the novel coronavirus have recovered, bringing Namibia’s total number of recoveries to 104.
The country has now
recorded 1 917 novel coronavirus infections, with 24 325 samples
having been tested for the virus.
