NAMIBIA has recorded 97 new novel coronavirus infections.
No new deaths have been recorded, and 119 infected people have recovered from the virus.
Minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula on Monday said among the newly reported cases are two healthcare workers, 39 pupils and one teacher – all from various parts of the country.
“We are also reporting four pensioners and two caregivers from an old-age home in the Karasburg district,” the minister said.
Meanwhile, 119 people are currently hospitalised for Covid-19, and 13 patients are in the intensive care unit.
