NAMPOST will transport sanitisers to 70 locations nationwide as their contribution to the fight against Covid-19.
The items, which include 180 units of 25 litre surface sanitiser containers, 112 units of 25 litre hand sanitiser containers, and 104 toilet packs of 40 rolls each were made possible through donations from Standard Bank Namibia and Elso Holdings.
NamPost will further commit N$90 000 to transporting the items, weighing 8 tonnes, to different locations countrywide.
Dundee offers Tsumeb hospital support
DUNDEE Precious Metals Tsumeb reaffirmed its support to the Tsumeb District hospital with a donation of N$5 million.
The donation will aid the upgrading of the isolation ward at the hospital.
The company will also support awareness campaigns of the Ministry of Health and Social Services by printing material on Covid-19 and will assist with the distribution of the materials.
Vice president and managing director Zebra Kasete said Dundee will monitor the situation closely, ensuring the well-being of their workforce and the community.
Demshi address 5G rumours
DEMSHI Investment Holdings have addressed rumours that the lockdown is due to the installation of 5G devices, informing the public the devices installed on street lampposts are Wi-Fi devices.
They added they have installed seven Wi-Fi hot spots at Swakopmund and Walvis Bay in January already.
They further said the pandemic can only be contained if everyone adheres to measures implemented by the government.
Old Mutual hands over necessities to vulnerable families
OLD Mutual yesterday handed over their first consignment of food parcels to the Psychological Support Response Team under the National Health Emergency Management Committee.
Last month, Old Mutual pledged to donate N$5 million to address some of the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.Of the N$5 million, N$208 000 worth of food supplies were delivered to some 400 homeless individuals and families in the Khomas region, who have recently been given temporary shelter.
