HEALTH UPDATE: Namibia’s Covid-19 cases now stand at 29, with the possibility of a local transmission at Walvis Bay.

Shangula, who was speaking at the Covid-19 communication centre this morning in Windhoek, said four students, who are currently quarantined in Windhoek, have also tested positive. The students had travelled from South Africa.

Meanwhile, case 26, which is suspected to be locally transmitted, is a 44-year-old man from Walvis Bay. The man has no travel history and investigations of the source of infection are ongoing.
